Stop the Credit/Debit Card & Chargeback Fraud

stop credit card payment and chargeback fraud

According to the Nilsen Report, losses incurred by card issuers, merchants, and acquirers reached $16.31 billion in 2014, up 19%. Also, for the fourth year in a row, losses to fraud outpaced growth in total card volume. In fact, there has been more e-commerce fraud every year since 1993.

Credit card or Debit Card fraud can encompass "Identity Theft," "Friendly Fraud" and "Clean Fraud" ... a bunch of innocuous sounding names; but, far from it. The bottom line is that you, the targeted merchant, incur an actual loss of income and time.

Chargeback fraud is a separate way of being victimized. It is different than your basic credit card / debit card fraud. Here, the cardholder willingly (and intentionally) takes advantage of their right to dispute a transaction. He or she wants to retain the goods or services and get their money back. Chargeback fraud is essentially online shoplifting.

What you need to know is that, a cryptocurrency transaction is permanent. Once a customer has paid for a product or service, or made a donation, the currency is in your wallet. Unlike credit card payments, or PayPal payments, or Stripe Payments, charges cannot be reversed.

With cryptocurrency payments there are NO CHARGEBACKS ... and there is no credit or debit card fraud you can be victimized by.

What you also need to understand is that fraudulent e-Commerce transactions continue to increase significantly each month ... and will continue to increase.

Whether you have been the victim of online retail credit card or debit card fraud, or been the victim of chargeback fraud; or if you want to avoid becoming a victim, you are in the right place at the right time. Finally, the Crypto Payments Plus WordPress Plugin lets you take payments and donations without the fear of becoming a victim of credit card and chargeback fraud.

Avoid High Processor Fees & High-Risk Processors

stop paying banks and third party processor high-risk fees

Do credit card processing companies consider you a high-risk industry or that you have high volumes? Do you fit into any of these "High Risk" niches that most credit card companies won't serve; so you have to go with the "High Risk Merchant Accounts?"

  • Online tobacco and cigarette sales

Or do you sell high ticket items and pay 3% or more, plus a transaction fee, for every transaction?

PayPal frozen account

click the above thumbnail for larger image

Or do you use PayPal and pay almost 3% plus a transaction fee, for every transaction; and then the funds are deposited into your PayPal account, instead of your bank account? The added issue if all of your currency is held in an account controlled by someone else, such as PayPal, they can without notice freeze your account and lock you out. All you have to do is Google "paypal frozen account" to see millions of results.

With Crypto Payments Plus, you do not need to submit all your details to find out if you can accept payments or donations, based on getting someone's approval about:

  • Your personal history (credit)
  • Your business history (if you have one)
  • Your business model

In other words, you can take payments and donations without the need to provide information about:

  • Who you are
  • What your credit is like
  • Your criminal background (think financial fraud)
  • What kind of business you have
  • What kind of product you sell
  • Who fulfills the product
  • How you deliver the product
  • If you deliver the product.
"While 79% of payment companies have existing relationships with banking institutions and payment networks, the difficulty of obtaining and maintaining these relationships is cited as this sector's biggest challenge."

BITCOIN (BTC)

Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network. Bitcoin is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls Bitcoin and everyone can take part. Through many of its unique properties, Bitcoin allows exciting uses that could not be covered by any previous payment system.

ETHEREUM (ETH)

Decentralised computing platform which features its own Turing-complete programming language. The blockchain records scripts or contracts that are run and executed by every participating node, and are activated through payments with the native cryptocurrency ‘ether’. Officially launched in 2015, Ethereum has attracted significant interest from many developers and institutional actors.

LITECOIN (LTC)

Litecoin was launched in 2011 and is considered to be the ‘silver’ to bitcoin’s ‘gold’ due to its more plentiful total supply of 84 million LTC. It borrows the main concepts from bitcoin but has altered some key parameters (e.g., the mining algorithm is based on Scrypt instead of bitcoin’s SHA-265).

ZCASH (ZEC)

Bitcoin and most cryptocurrencies expose your entire payment history to the public. Zcash is the first open, permissionless cryptocurrency that can fully protect the privacy of transactions using zero-knowledge cryptography. Privacy is an essential part of cryptocurrency security, and despite some initial mistaken beliefs to the contrary, Bitcoin alone doesn't provide that. Zcash is the first cryptocurrency that provides the level of privacy users deserve and expect.

EOS

EOS is a blockchain platform for the development of decentralized applications (dapps), similar to Ethereum in function. It makes dapp development easy by providing an operating-system-like set of services and functions that dapps can make use of. The idea behind EOS is to bring together the best features and promises of the various smart contract technologies out there (e.g. security of Bitcoin, computing support of Ethereum) in one simple to use, massively scalable dapp platform for the everyday user to empower the impending blockchain economy.

DOGECOIN (DOGE)

Dogecoin is based on Litecoin, which means all changes and updates made to Litecoin will also apply to Dogecoin. Dogecoin never set out to create any groundbreaking technology on the blockchain or do anything fancy and new—it’s just a simple cryptocurrency transaction platform, with a dog slapped on its face. It is one of the few digital currencies that is predominantly being traded as a currency, rather than being bought up as a speculative investment. It’s being traded and tipped, rather than people holding it and waiting for a market fluctuation to sell it—which is awesome, because that’s what digital currencies should exist for.

Monero XMR is only for Donations

BITCOIN CASH (BCH)

Bitcoin Cash is peer-to-peer electronic cash for the Internet. It is fully decentralized, with no central bank and requires no trusted third parties to operate. The primary motivation of bitcoin cash’s existence depends solely on carrying out more transactions. One of the best features of Bitcoin Cash is how it circumnavigates one of the biggest problems that any cryptocurrency can face post-forking, the replay attack.

RIPPLE (XRP)

Only cryptocurrency in this list that does not have a blockchain but instead uses a ‘global consensus ledger’. The Ripple protocol is used by institutional actors such as large banks and money service businesses. A function of the native token XRP is to serve as a bridge currency between national currency pairs that are rarely traded, and to prevent spam attacks.

DASH

Privacy-focused cryptocurrency launched in early 2014 that has recently experienced a significant increase in market value since the beginning of 2017. In contrast to most other cryptocurrencies, block rewards are being equally shared between miners and ‘masternodes’, with 10% of revenues going to the ‘treasury’ to fund development, community projects and marketing.

CARDANO (ADA)

Cardano is home to the Ada cryptocurrency, which can be used to send and receive digital funds. This digital cash represents the future of money, making possible fast, direct transfers that are guaranteed to be secure through the use of cryptography. Cardano is more than just a cryptocurrency, however, it is a technological platform that will be capable of running financial applications currently used every day by individuals, organisations and governments all around the world.

ETHOS

Ethos is a U.S.-based company and cryptocurrency. Their mission is to make it easy for anyone to own cryptocurrencies. In order for cryptocurrency to gain acceptance in society, it needs to be simple to use. Ethos proposes an easy-to-use universal wallet and fiat gateway that makes buying, trading, and managing your crypto assets simple.

NEO

NEO is a next generation smart economy platform (formerly Antshares) and means new and young in Greek. NEO has had a monumental rise to fame and most know NEO for its explosive growth. However, when you look under the hood there is a lot to discuss. NEO is a blockchain platform and cryptocurrency designed to build a scalable network of decentralized applications. The base asset of the NEO blockchain is the non divisible NEO token which generates GAS tokens that can be used to pay for transaction fees generated by applications on the network. NEO supports a wide variety of commonly used programming languages such as Javascript and C++ by using a customized version of Docker called neoVM that compiles the code into a secure executable environment.

MONERO (XMR)

Cryptocurrency system that aims to provide anonymous digital cash using ring signatures, confidential transactions and stealth addresses to obfuscate the origin, transaction amount and destination of transacted coins. Launched in 2014, it saw a substantial increase in market value in 2016.
